Living with trauma

A short documentary film about Anorexia.

After suffering a series of traumas Fiona found that anorexia was the only way she could cope this distress. Anorexia has been a significant part of Fiona’s life for the past 20 years and current research has proven that it is closely linked in females with Aspergers.

The film was made by Brighton based self-shooting Producer / Director Javier Douglas for BBC Video Nation ‘Headroom’ campaign.

At the Mind Mental Health Media Awards, BBC Headroom won both the New Media Award and was also recognised with a special ‘Making a Difference’ Award for helping to change public attitudes to mental health, in the same week it was also crowned at the Ability Media International Awards.
